For Coast to Kosci runners, the time of year is approaching when the mountain looms in your thoughts during long training runs.
To aspiring C2K debutants, welcome! We hope to greet you in Eden in December.
For returning runners, you will be familiar with much of the information below, but please pay particular attention to the entry process, as with unprecedented interest in this year’s event, we may very well reach our limit of 50 competitors this year.
The 2010 Coast to Kosciuszko Ultramarathon will start from Boydtown Beach at 5:30am on Friday 10 December and finish at Charlotte Pass. The course will remain open for 46 hours.
Applications for entry into the 2010 Coast to Kosci open at 3pm (Eastern Australia time) on Sunday, 26 September and close on 3pm on Sunday 10 October.
The field will be restricted to a maximum of 50 runners, to be selected from all runners submitting an application within entry period. All runners are required to have demonstrated ability in ultramarathon events as per the selection criteria as stated on the race website.
Entry will not be on the basis of the first 50 entries received. Entry to the event is at the discretion of race organisers.
For first time Coast to Kosci runners, please be aware that it is compulsory for each runner to have a designated support crew to provide them with food, fluids, clothing, etc as required through out the event. Please be aware it is the responsibility of each runner to organise his or her own support crew.
For runners experiencing genuine difficulties in securing the services of a support crew, we will endeavour to pass on contact details of the few people who contact us with an interest in acting as crew. Preference will be giving to assisting runners travelling from overseas.
The pre-race dinner and competitor briefing at Eden Fisherman’s Club, 217 Imlay Street, Eden from 6:30pm on Thursday 9 December. The traditional buffet dinner will contain vegetarian options and will provide plenty of carbs.
The Post Race Breakfast will be held at the Lake Jindabyne Hotel Motel from 7am to 9am on Sunday 12 December.
The breakfast will be followed by the Presentation in the Hotel Motel’s Bistro from 9am.
We are currently negotiating accommodation discounts with the Discovery Holiday Park at Eden and the Lake Jindabyne Hotel Motel at Jindabyne. Further information will follow shortly.
