Goals: After not being able to go to the top last year, I had to come back this year to complete unfinished business.

C2K history: Inclement Weather finisher in 2008. During the last 10km last year, I knew I was going to finish. Being absolutely smashed by winds of up to 100km/hr I didn't know how but I knew as long as I had the will to keep moving forward, I would get there.

The story

In 2007 I crewed for Rob Boyce until he dropped out just past Jindabyne. I then joined as crew for US Phil, helping him to the BHB award with Rod the Hornet.

While out on the course, I was amazed by the resilience of the competitors. It was awe inspiring seeing what people were going through to get to the finish.

It was humanity stripped to its very core. I knew then that it was something that I just had to do.
